Hiya, just following on from what Bry said in the last post to let you know about the gigs confirmed so far over the next few months.

Firstly we are gonna be playing "Harlem" in Dunfermline on Sunday 31st May then off to the "GRV" in Edinburgh on the 4th June playing with No Parasan and Offbeat DJ's, looking like it's gonna be a good one....followed swiftly by another night in the Burg at "Bannermans" on the 12th June with an evening of Hip-Hop, I think Gand - Eye are playing too which brings me nicely on to the "Ark" show on the 2nd July, again in the Burg and again with Gand-Eye. They have nice Christmas lights in the Ark and the fastest barman in Edinburgh.

The 4th of July sees us playing the "Doghouse" in Dundee at the annual Hanney festival. This day is guaranteed to be a riot. There's gonna be loads of rocking acts on. The Hanney boys know how to put on a cracking show and I, personally, can't wait for this gig :) We make our first appearance in Cumbernauld on the 19th July playing an event called "Noizy" with Kaleidoscope Eyes and David McKeller.

Think there is a couple of cheeky wee shows in Glasgow at the start of August but they are unconfirmed as of yet so just keep your eyes peeled....

Finally, for now, the 5th of September allows us to revisit a favourite venue of past - "Mad Hatters" in Inverness. We're playing with Freaky Family. If your in the area pop in, we had a blast last time we played and are all looking forward to it. It's Dayles birthday too so you can buy him a pint :)

I'll post more as we get them.

Thanks

Yoshi news guys...

It's been a while... we've been busy gigging and finishing recording, things have been going pretty good. Our album is complete and ready for a release date, so we will be setting it soon... were happy with the sound of the album, real summer album full of upbeat tunes... i hope you's all will agree... we've had a few reviews of late, check out our myspace to find the links. Pretty cool though... one from digitalgig and the other on bloggertronix.. we even won poster of the month which i have posted for you's to see... if you'd like the file for anything then give us a shout on myspace... gig wise we've had alot of fun and played some good shows, hope people managed to catch us at one point... we played a support to Figure 5 at the box in Glasgow, was fun, you can catch the boxcast on line, just type boxcast into goog's and we played boxcast 9. played at sleazys to for our good mate Marty, he was putting on a night and promoting a comp CD of the bands that played the night... again thanks to the people who caught the show and left kind words on our myspace... got alot more coming too, they never stop...! hey it's all good fun. you can get the details on our myspace...

anyhow stop by and say hi, enjoy our tunes and see you all soon...

We had our first rehearsal with our new live guitar player Andy last night and what a spiffingly good job he did!

Scott came down to show young Andy the ropes and in no time at all he had slipped right in to the role. Any worries we had about the upcoming gigs have been laid to rest. Come see Andy's first show on the 27/01/09 at PJ Molloys in Dunfermline (Over 16's only).

It's not all bad news though, Andy McDonald has stepped in to handle the guitar parts for the gigs we have booked so we won't have need to cancel. Yay Andy!

Speaking of gigs, the next one is at PJ Molloys in good old Dunfermline on the 27th Jan '09. Over 16's only. Come along and give Andy some support at his first Yoshi show!

We have however been likened to Jesus Jones, in particular, in one of our 1st reviews done for our debut single 'Headphones' written in the Daily Record. And of course we think they ain't that bad a group either.

Anyhow thanks for reading and it was nice to be associated with Jesus Jones even if it wasn't totally correct.

Oh my god!!! how good is it playing up North.

I was called a few days before we played Mad Hatters by a press team up Inverness and the Highlands way... The inverview went really well, had a laugh and all main points were covered... not seen the report yet but figured it would be good as the reporter had already got a Yoshi sticker on her lap top computer... so the news (if only in sticker form) had travelled up North.. she did say that it would be a good night and she was not wrong. So when we got up to the venue after our 3 hour drive, we were pleased to find this cool looking venue where hopefully we'd play to some interested people who were up for having a laugh and a wee dance... and we weren't let down... The gig was funking rocking hip hopin' total amazing fun!! and going by the reaction pretty much everyone was diggin it and having fun... which is good coz this is our main objective if you will... to try and have a fun night... we are so looking forward to going up and playing again and it was suggested by a couple of the promoters, who came to see us, that we will play the iron works with an other headline act and too spread the Yoshi love to more people. I hope this comes about...

Were getting ready today for another trip up North, not quite as far, only Aberdeen, BUT!!! we can't wait now because of our 1st exciting experiance..

Take care guys and speak soon.
